WEEK
OF AUGUST 11TH -
National Smiles Week
For
the past several years, the G.V. Black Dental Society
and the local Scouting Organization have sponsored
a Dental Explorer Post for those who have expressed
an interest in one of the dental health professions
as a possible career. The Post meets no more
than 2 evenings each month from September to May, usually
in the offices of dentists or dental specialists
in
Springfield. These meetings are designed to
present current concepts and techniques in the dental
field
as well as to give everyone a chance to try
their hand at exercises involving dental materials.
There are
usually 2 “road trips” each year.
One of the trips is to the Chicago Mid-Winter
Meeting in the
third week of February and the other in early
June to the Southern Illinois University Dental
School in
Alton.
If you are at all interested, please contact our office
and we will see that you get an information pack about
the program as well as dates for upcoming meetings.
